Alaina received this Happy Gram! at school today:
"Alaina is excelling so much with her literary skills - specifically letter recognition. She can easily distinguish between capital and lowercase letters and catches on very quickly to their specific sounds. Keep up the good work, Alaina! :)"

I have noticed that she is doing great with her books at home. She can repeat some of the sentences and tell you all about what's happening in the pictures. Way to go, angel baby!!

We thoroughly enjoyed Zach's first soccer game. Zach scored 4 goals in our 12-1 victory!! Go Wolverines!!

"Alaina is such a sweetie pie! Today, when some friends were having a hard time following directions when asked to clean up centers, Alaina was the one friend who immediately started to clean up, and who consistently stayed on task. She is maturing so fast and is such a joy to have in my class -- I adore her!"

We are so proud of her, but GOODNESS, it would be nice of she'd pick up her mess at home!!

A Big Hug

I was talking to the kiddos this morning and said that I was cranky. Zach immediately came over and said, "I know what you need, Mommy. A big hug.". He put a big smile on my face.
