The Boys are Back in Town

Great weekend of baseball for the Rattlers.  We battled hard, going 4-1 in the Matt Dozier 10U Majors tournament.  We fell short in the Championship game... and I've never been more proud to bring home 2nd place.  What a great start to a new season!!

And, how does that look?  Currently ranked 2nd in Texas for our age division.  Great job, boys!!



Best Friends for Life

These boys love baseball... and each other!!  We played a scrimmage last night and the boys gave each other hugs in the "good game" line.

Posting Drought. Will It Ever End?

Shockingly, I'm technologically behind.  I know, right?!?  I'm just as surprised as you.


I've been unable to update my Blogger app for months, which was my primary method of blogging, and has led to a posting drought.  I guess no one blogs anymore (except me... and including me, because - again - we're in a drought) and I need to transition to YouTube videos.  I feel just a bit old for that when I look at what the kids watch and it wouldn't be much of an ego boost to see I have "4 Subscribers".  Alas, I'll just have to charge ahead the old fashioned way... with my laptop!
 
May the drizzle end the drought.  Here we go!

Another Win in the Books

The Rattlers are rolling this season with another tournament win, with this win coming against some of the toughest 9U AAA teams in the area.  This was our 5^th tournament of the season and we’ve gone 3-1-? (rainout).  WAY TO GO – let’s keep it coming!!


I know some of you (and with this… I mean me) like numbers, so here's a breakdown for this win:

The mighty 9U Rattlers brought home another piece of bling last weekend after winning the "Hunt for Eggcelence" tournament.  We battled to come from behind and once we got rolling, there was no stopping us.

Finding Beauty

I try to find beauty every Friday during my weekly walk. Today it is the smell and feel of Spring in the air.

Constantly Competing

As you know, the kids often fight for my attention.  Which is often flattering, usually drives me nuts, and occasionally melts my heart.  Ready to melt?

Lainey: Mommy, I love you so much I'd give you 2,000,000 hugs.

Zach: That's nothing.  I'd die for her.

So... my heart melts at the thought, but I'd rather have the hugs!!

Just Got Better

The only way my job could be better is wearing jeans every day.  It just got better!!
