South Dakota Vacation

The kids and I packed up and headed to Grandpa and Grammy's house in Rapid City, South Dakota for a fun winter vacation. The kiddos were such angels for Mommy on the plane - let's hope that the return trip goes as smoothly!! We have had a busy week filled with snow (yeah!!), an indoor water park, rodeo and sledding. We still have plans to visit Dinosaur Hill before we return back home.

The Rapid City Livestock Show and Rodeo is in town. As I understand it, this is a pretty good stop in the rodeo circuit. We went to the Ranch Rodeo on Tuesday morning - real cowboys from ranches in the area that compete in roping and riding competitions. Zach and Lainey seemed to have a great time!!
The weather has been bitterly cold for most of this week (as low as -35°F wind chill). It was about 40°F today - so we enjoyed a morning filled with sledding and the park before our snow melted. It look Lainey a few runs to smile, but Zach loved it from the start!!
